SADC ICT and Broadcasting Infrastructure Sharing Guidelines allows for regional harmonisation in achieving an enabling policy and regulatory framework conducive to infrastructure sharing. It also allows for identification of existing platforms (transmission and contribution networks)suitable for infrastructure sharing in SADC. It also enables competition in access networks and provide positive environmental impacts. It further provides positive incentives to roll out to underserved areas. It furthermore improves quality of service, especially, in the rural areas.
